Christian Bérard Jean Cocteau, 1928 Oil on canvas MoMA, Floor 5, 513 visited on january 11th, 3:46-3:50pm thought this portrait looked familiar from afar on my wray to another gallery, stepped closer and realized it’s of Jean Cocteau—i was just discussing his short film La Villa Santo-Sospir (1952) with a friend the night before so this felt like quite a wonderful moment of synchronicity:)
