last week, joey and i spent the entire week working together in vancouver.
here are my notes from the week:
- you can't assume a reference means the same thing to two people. if you're pointing to something specific, make sure you're both pointing to the same level of specificity
- the hours in a day go by fast when you're working hard
- planning and thinking through an idea is great but if you get stuck in every small logistic, you might miss the obvious first step: just start
- delegating is important
- ideas can be repeated, the execution will always be different
- printing at your neighbourhood print shop is almost always a good idea
- the library is a free space to work but not the best space to talk and collaborate
- sometimes the most productive thing you can do is play!
- facebook marketplace can be a great same-day solution
- holding something you made in the palm of your hand is an unbeatable feeling
