Back in Dubai after 5 years. Each time I come back I feel more and more distant from the place I call my hometown. I walk by my old houses, see old neighbors, and am only met with a tugging sense of nostalgia. It's a confusing feeling - my most important relationships are scattered here and the other places I've lived. I really do want to feel like I know this place, still, but maybe it's time to accept that I don't anymore.
