Hi all! It's Jason! Here's the haps:
I've just recently started my first semester of college, and it's been a pretty hard adjustment. Moving to an entirely new and unfamiliar place with new and unfamiliar people has made me think about what I truly, actually value as an individual. I love the familiarity of routine and just can't seem to find a new one here. Bringing just the bare minimum with me put into perspective just how much media I consume. Not having a million posters and other stimuli on my wall makes me feel a little crazy. I regret to inform the masses that my extensive Batman figure collection did NOT come with me... Okay, maybe I brought just a few for my desk...
My school has a reputation for the freshman "negative 15" because the food is so bad. I fear this is true--none of my pants fit anymore after a month of being here (T-T). It's like I've transformed into a completely different person. My schedule, looks, and lifestyle have undergone a drastic change that I am NOT a fan of... There isn't even a comic book shop here! To all the lucky bastards who got their hands on the new Batman #1 first printing: I am SEETHING with jealousy....
In other irrelevant news: I haven't truly perused River in a while, and all the updates have pleasantly surprised me. Big fan of this blog-like format! I fear you all will be hearing from me again. Is this fully html compatible? Unsure yet, but if it ever is I'm going to become insufferable. I received many complaints about my old neocities back in the day and can't wait to bring that energy here.
Any other autistic college students out there? How did you deal with such a big change in routine? Any and all advice helps.
If you made it this far: thanks for reading! If you ever want to talk about Batman, art, the works, whatever: hmu!
LOL (Lots of Love),
Jason
