good morning river,
i'm one of those people who secretly not-so-secretly cares about their birthday. a birthday, sort of like the new year, is a way to measure a length of time: one year. and a lot can happen in 365 days.
tomorrow, i will be 28 years old. and i'm hosting a birthday game on river.
how do you host people when your method of connecting is through a digital space? how do you create that feeling... of having friends over in your home, making sure they get a pair of slippers, have a drink in their hand at all times and never go near the dishes?
i asked a close friend of mine what he thought my greatest strength was and his response was: hosting. although i've been known to host a great dinner party or potluck, that wasn't exactly what he meant.
the ability to bring people together. to connect people... in a meaningful way!
I hosted several “projects” this past year... an earnest effort in hosting within a digital space.

for my 28th birthday, I’m hosting the ultimate birthday game and I’m inviting you to be part of my day.
I’m offering you an opportunity to receive one of twenty eight items that I’ve made, kept or collected.
if you’re already on river, this will be light work.
tomorrow on september 19th, I’m sharing twenty eight items on my channel, twenty eight to play. once all twenty eight items are on my channel, you can submit your name and mailing address to the channel (I won’t be accepting/posting your information, dw). I will message the first twenty eight submissions and tell you how you can pay the $28.
twenty eight people who pay $28 each will receive one of the twenty items.
no returns, no exchanges… but who would return a birthday gift anyways?
happy birthday to us <3
love & light,
hard liver
