my partner's friend once told him, "I can't seem to go outside without spending $50!" when I first heard this, i thought this was absolutely absurd. but since moving to new york city about a month ago, i've come to find that this is an unfortunate, but very real reality. i may not be spending 50 bucks every time i leave the house, but it seems that not a day has gone by where i haven't spent something.
how can i stop this? i've found myself asking this question day in and day out. i could make a budgeting sheet? i could carry around cash and make myself stop using tap? sure. yeah. but that doesn't sound like very much fun, does it? and boring just isn't sustainable!
so like many young people, i'm turning to the internet to solve my problems...
so welcome to day 1 of holding myself accountable :-)
here is everything i spent money on today!
first up, we've got these stickers i bought at the art book fair today at moma ps1. they were very cute and made my heart happy so you already know i had to cop. these were $6 total!
next, i bought this samich cause i didn't eat breakfast so i was quite hungry after a few hours of fasting. this was way over priced and i left a tip so it came out to $13.06.
**lastly, i thought i was safe after maxxing out my fares on the subway this week, but friday is my renewal day so i spent $2.90 on the subway.
this leaves us with a grand total of....
$21.96
thanks for joining me, and let's hope for a better tomorrow ⊹˚. ♡.𖥔 ݁ ˖
