Nicki Minaj’s home has been swatted at least four times since 2023. Anonymous calls falsely claiming child abuse, false shooting reports. LAPD conveniently lost evidence from the first incidents and up until this point nobody's been arrested for any of these calls. It should be a felony to endanger a family in this way.

The severity of the swatting has been downplayed, but it’s not just stan-wars pranks. It's the deliberate deployment of state violence against a target. When armed officers enter a home expecting active violence or child endangerment, people die. Breonna Taylor died in a situation with similar dynamics, officers entering a residence primed for a threat that didn't exist.

For the entire time her baby boy (two years old) has been alive, she's been under these attacks. That means the baby is constantly exposed to random episodes of guns being pointed at their family. The deepest of traumas…and for what? It never amounts to anything because it's always a hoax.

The deepest of traumas that Dems say they want to protect people against. If that happened to you, you would never want to hear progressives campaigning about "protect black women" again. Because none of that shit works if you do not fit a certain standard of purity or palpability. So easily it stops applying to many. Many cannot exist in their full complexity.

Her husband is a sex offender. A lot of people point that the source of these calls could stem from the fact that he's on a registry and has to have his residence public. Still—a lot of celebrities have public addresses. They don't get swatted four times. Celebrities in gated communities being swatter for times does not make any fucking sense.

In the April 2025 incident, the caller used a non-emergency business line, harder to trace, suggesting premeditation and sophistication, so her rants of people in high positions working against here make a lot of sense to me…

She was asking Gavin Newsom for help. Publicly. More than once. Nothing. But as soon as she called out his wrongdoings he had a response up within hours.

She tags a Republican and gets a response in 24 hours.

It's always mfs that know they aren't actually picking up the phone in real life that will say you betrayed them. But they were not there when she needed it.

When institutions keep failing you, when the state can be sent to your door and nobody does anything about it—where should you turn?

And what does it mean when the available options are all compromised in different ways?

If you can't understand why someone repeatedly failed by progressive institutions might seek power and protection elsewhere, you're not engaging with the complexity of the situation.
