we humans are organic just like nature and the earth

Recently I have been obsessing over flowers, nature, the way we, as humans are connected to the earth. In a book that I have read twice now, Agua Viva by Clarice Lisspector, there is a passage that talks about how we humans are like flowers. Clarice talks about, how certain flowers are certain people, of course gender is brought into the conversation too. How some flowers are associated with man or woman. To think that we humans are so close connected to earth. We have so much in common with the earth and nature. How our veins look like the roots of trees or plants, or how our fingertips have prints just like a tree bark.

Another thought that has been on mind recently, is that we humans are organic just like flowers, or how we never really die just like how flowers never really die. They always come back, some way or another flowers are always there. It’s funny how we are just like flowers, we grow, we learn certain things that make us adopt ourselves, we wither, but then bloom again. It’s just like the cycle of a flowers life. We go through it too.

The quote “ people have thrown dirt on my name others have given me flowers, it’s all a garden to me.” Really has been sitting with me a lot recently too, why I have no clue. I do but at the same time I do not. The first time I heard those words I was watching an edit on TikTok. About the win of feminist activists, who were fighting for our human rights. To really think deep about it, the said ‘garden’ that is being spoken of, I interrupted as my soul or my being. A lot of people have judged me without knowing me or have made assumptions about me, weather it being positive or negative, it’s all just things people have made up about me. Who’s to say that, that’s the reality.

Why should those words dictate who I am. Those people don’t know me, they know an idea of me I have shown them. Their just words spoken not a reality, not a truth, its just a bunch of words. They’re just letters put together so that we can label that thing. That feeling we feeling towards something. So yes those words are just a garden to me. It’s not negative it’s not positive, it just is.

I just let the garden grow, and take care of it. I get rid of the weeds, and let the flowers bloom once more.
