you have to look out for yourself because everyone else is looking out for them and it’s no one’s job to look out for you. but sometimes you need to be able to depend on something outside of yourself. that’s a hard thing to do in an environment where even those who have chosen to be of service are preoccupied looking out for themselves first. or where most people look out for themselves by throwing people like you under the bus. where does one turn for guidance? wisdom? enlightenment?
